Our Academic Programs
Our Philosophy
Hummingbirds’ Collaborative School combines foundational aspects of whole child development within a curriculum that meets the needs of today’s children. We incorporate a multi-sensory approach to every aspect of the curriculum. Within the curriculum, the teacher navigates the subject to support three styles of learning – visual, auditory, and kinesthetics. These techniques engage and develop the whole brain, and help develop the daily, weekly, and yearly rhythm of life as a student.
About Our Programs
Preschool - 8th Grade
Our school grows with our students! Hummingbirds’ Collaborative first began with a preschool class. Those preschoolers are now in 5th Grade. Every year we add a new grade level to meet the needs of current and new enrollment students. Enrollment is OPEN for Preschool – 6th grade!
HOMESCHOOL PROGRAM
Our Homeschool Program is designed for families who want to bring the Hummingbirds’ Nest home for a more intimate homeschool learning experience for their children with the support of a beautiful, Waldorf-inspired curriculum and connection to a like-hearted community. This program includes a detailed home curriculum, guidance on rhythm and structure, and regular opportunities for students to participate in school events like field trips and seasonal celebrations. Optional in-person learning may be available for select subjects. It’s a nurturing, whole-child approach to homeschooling for families seeking both independence and belonging.
HOMESCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAM
Our Homeschool Enrichment Program is for students who are enrolled in a homeschool curriculum elsewhere but are seeking in-person learning experiences and peer connection in a nurturing, Waldorf-inspired setting. Open to Kindergarten through 5th grade, this program offers specialty classes—such as Spanish, Music, Art, Knitting, and Games & Movement—on a 2-day or 4-day schedule. It’s the perfect solution for families who want to enhance their homeschool experience with socialization, hands-on learning, and Parent Coaching to support rhythm, routine, and joyful teaching at home.
Please note: This program does not replace a full homeschool curriculum—it’s designed to enrich and support what families are already doing at home.
